Meet the Team
Kendell Butz. I am a pre-veterinary biology major with a research concentration. I am from Portland, Oregon and love to explore the outdoors. My research focuses on environmental affects on reproductive output of painted turtles.
Cameron Marsh. Originally from Rathdrum, Idaho, I am a rising junior at Gonzaga with a major in Biology and minors in International Relations and Leadership Studies. I hope to pursue a career in medicine, specifically global health, in the future. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, traveling, and enjoying North Idaho’s short, but beautiful summer months. This summer, I have been looking into how the soil moisture on which C. picta eggs are incubated impacts the hatchling locomotor performance in running, swimming, and righting response tests.

Geneva Rossman. I am a biology major with a research concentration and an entrepreneurial leadership minor. I am from Seattle, Washington and love to boulder and go on hikes in my spare time. My research focuses on the production of melanin in painted turtle hatchlings, and my favorite part of working with the turtles is watching them hatch in late July.
